Location: Azad Kashmir neighboring different regions and provinces of Pakistan like Gilgit-Baltistan on the North, Punjab province on the South, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the East. The total area in Azad Kashmir is 13,297 square kilometers (5,134 sq. mi) and a total population of 4,045,366 as per the 2017 survey.
Importance: The region of Azad Kashmir is commonly referred to as AJK, Azad Jammu and Kashmir are a part of the Northern areas of Pakistan, there are some points (like Karen village) from where you can see the Indian occupied Kashmir side just on another side of the river. The region of Azad Kashmir is blessed with exceptional and breathtaking natural beauty that contains beautiful mountains, scenic valleys, soothing rivers, breathtaking lakes, significant historic sites, and so much more. The beauty of this region is one of its kind and several tourist destinations are famous that attract a huge number of tourists each year. 
From the breathtaking Neelum, Jhelum, and Leepa Valleys, to the beautiful Banjosa and Shunter Lakes, from the famous Pir Chinasi Shrine to the heights of Toli Peer, Ganga Choti and Ratti Gali Lake. Climate: The southern parts of Azad Kashmir, including the Bhimber, Mirpur, and Kotli districts, have extremely hot weather in the summer and moderate cold weather in the winter. They receive rain mostly in monsoon weather. In the central and northern parts of the state, the weather remains moderately hot in the summer and cold and chilly in the winter. Snowfall also occurs in December and January. The region receives rainfall in both the winter and the summer. Muzaffarabad and Pattan are among the wettest areas of the state, but they don't receive snow. Throughout most of the region, the average rainfall exceeds 1400 mm, with the highest average rainfall occurring near Muzaffarabad (around 1800 mm). During summer, monsoon floods of the Jhelum and Leepa rivers are common, due to high rainfall and melting snow. 
Distance: The road to Azad Kashmir is in really good condition. All of the roads reaching towards Azad Kashmir region start from the Capital City of Pakistan, Islamabad. It takes nearly 3 hours to drive to Azad Kashmir in Pakistan.
